ABOUT

Samie (Sposato) Guerin is the 2022 Heartland Regional Emmy Award Recipient for her work as a Video Editor with the Colorado Avalanche broadcast on Altitude TV. She is a video editor and content creator focusing on sports, corporate, training and live event production. In 2016, she received her B.A. from Colorado State University in Journalism and Media Communication with a minor in Film Studies. 

Currently, Samie works full time as a Video Editor & Motion Graphics Designer at Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE) for the in arena broadcast department. She produces video content for in-arena broadcasts, digital platforms, and Altitude TV covering the Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Mammoth, Denver Nuggets and Colorado Rapids.

She began working for KSE at Altitude Sports & Entertainment in 2016 as a Video Editor. Samie was promoted in 2018 to Video Editor II and again in 2021 to Video Editor and Producer. She then accepted the opportunity to work for the in arena broadcast team at KSE in November of 2022, where she is in her current role. 

In her new role of Video Editor & Motion Graphic Designer, Samie is continuing to showcase her storytelling ability and advanced video editing knowledge when creating content for the in arena broadcast. She is working at developing her motion graphic designer skills using Adobe After Effects. 

During her time with Altitude Sports as a Video Editor and Producer, her responsibilities included shooting, editing and producing video content for Altitude TV, Colorado Avalanche, Colorado Mammoth, Denver Nuggets and Colorado Rapids. With this position Samie produced and lead video shoots using a Sony Fs5 and Sony DSLRs cameras. Content included TV shows, features, digital content, promos and live broadcasts. Samie worked on many projects simultaneously. During the National Lacrosse League Season, she was the producer, editor and videographer for the TV shows Mammoth Extra and Making the Mammoth. She also edited and shoots for the Colorado Avalanche, Denver Nuggets and Colorado Rapids and has worked on many Altitude shows. Shows included 
Let’s Talk Sports with Vic Lombardi, Golf at Altitude, Nuggets 360, Rapids 360 and more. 

 
In 2022, Samie was nominated a fifth time for a Heartland Regional Emmy for her work as a video editor at Altitude. She received her first Regional Emmy nomination in 2018 for her work as a co-editor on an Avalanche 360 episode. 

In her free time, Samie is a freelance video editor. She works on video projects for companies such as The Colorado Bureau of Investigation, SuperBook Sports and Bona. This work includes training videos, podcasts, features, digital content and promos. 

As of 2015, Samie also freelances for live events in Colorado as a camera operator, replay operator, daktronics operator, technical director, director and AV technician. She primarily works with Ball Arena, RamVision at Colorado State University, BuffVision and Pac-12 Network at University of Colorado Boulder, Budweiser Events Center, and Infinity Park at Glendale. Events include live sports, concerts, graduations, ceremonies, weddings, musicals, and plays. 

As an undergraduate senior, Samie was the Student Video Productions Manager (corporate video) and CTV Channel 11 (news) Technical Studio Crew Manager for Rocky Mountain Student Media Corporation. She also worked at RMSMC as the equipment and training manager, technical director and in studio operations manager. She has held three internships with local TV stations; Poudre School District Channel 10 in Fort Collins, CO, District 50 TV in Westminster, CO and Open Media Foundation in Denver, CO. 

Samie is a dedicated video specialist with comprehensive experience in all aspects of video production, from editing, shooting and producing. She has proven ability to adapt and handle a fast-paced, dynamic environment, while managing multimedia technology and meeting tight deadlines. She enjoys all aspects of video production and is always looking for the next opportunity in Colorado to continue to improve her skills and passion.
